What type of sequence should be used when polishing? Abrasive sequence.
Use the most abrasive first, and then move down.

When polishing gold in reference to the margin how should you polish?
Toward the margin.

What should not be polished when polishing a denture base? The teeth and
tissue-bearing surface.

Dentifrice = Toothpaste

How many times faster is dentin abraded than enamel? 5 times faster.

Margination can better an amalgam how? Correct overhangs, remove excess,
or improve margins.

Tools used in margination: Amalgam or gold knife, files (push pull
stroke), finishing strips.

Put the steps to margination, finishing, & polishing in order from first to
last:

Slurry of fine
pumice: bristle brush or rubber cup 4

Smooth carving on
initial appointment. 1

Smoothing with shofu
brownies and greenies. 3

Gross smoothing with
hand instruments, polishing & finishing burs, and or diamonds. 2

Final Polish with
rubber cups with suitable polish (tin oxide & H2O). 5
