Numbering systems

  1. What system uses the number sign and tooth number? Universal System.
  2. Describe the Palmer notation system: The tooth number inside of a quad bracket. Teeth are numbered from 1-8 in each quad of the perm. And lettered from A-E in the temp. starting with centrals.
  3. Describe the FDI system for numbering: The first number is the quad number and the second number is tooth number. Teeth are numbered from 1-8 staring with the centrals in perm, quads are numberd 1-4. In tem teeth are numbered from 1-5 and quad is numbered 5-8.
