· Incisors: central (4) Laterals (4) Used to cut food. · Canines: Cuspids, pointed teeth, 1 each quad, tearing or piercing food.

D= dentition A= arch Q= quadrant T= tooth type
a. Buccal: toward the cheek (molars). b. Labial: toward the face, lip area (incisors). · Lingual: inside facing the tongue. · Occlusal: biting surface on posterior teeth. · Incisal: anterior teeth. · Mesial: Toward mid line. · Distal: Farthest away from mid line. · Proximal: distal & mesial surfaces.
